We all have a favourite colour, a colour that makes our heart sing! Well here’s your chance to own and name your favourite colour and help support Unicef, a very worthy cause. All for as little as a £1.

Dulux has once again excelled when it comes to adding colour to people’s lives.  Last year they introduced their Let’s Colour campaign which I was thrilled to be a part of.

what’s it all about
Now they have joined forces with Unicef to raise money to help protecting children in 190 countries to their right to be educated, healthy and protected, amongst a myriad of positive life changing services.

let the fun begin
So, all you need to do is choose your favourite colour.  There’s plenty to go around, given there 16.7 million colours!  The fun part is you get to name your colour. Here’s how to get started.

I have so many favourite colours it was a task which one to pick. This is the colour I bought. I called it 'Consciousness'.

Great infographic as at 4th October showing how much money has been raised to date and which colours are favoured by which country. Interesting that UK favours red whereas I'm aligned with Australia, interesting given I live in the UK yet raised in Australia.

Own a Colour harnesses the power of colour – your contribution WILL have a positive impact on saving lives of children.

    This is a brilliant idea for a fund raising campaign. I could have spent a whole day just looking at the colours. I chose a bright, fresh tranquil blue and called it St Ives.

      Hi Amanda,

      I know exactly what you mean, just couldn’t decide. Think I’ll be buying many colours 😉
      What a fun way to highlight such a worthy cause. Love the name of your colour. Makes me want to dive in.

    What a brilliant cause – and a fun, innovative way of campaigning to raise funds. I have just bought a shade of purple that represents powerful femininity and called it (unsurprisingly) Phenomenal. Thanks for sharing this Karen. I am going to repost it on my walls.

    Another great post Karen! I bought a colour a couple of weeks ago. It’s called “Top Left Design” – http://www.ownacolour.com/#52a5c3!

      Hi Keren,

      Great to see you bought a colour helping Unicef. And it’s one of your brand colours!
