Colour Group GB Colour for Business and the Professions.

Colour is an integral part of every business and every product and is often the most important part of a design, so understanding how to apply colour effectively is critical to business success and our own performance and well-being.

If you work with colour in any capacity in any industry, this symposium will empower you to understand and utilise colour more effectively with insight into the influences and relationships of the conscious, the unconscious and the physical-psychophysical, and the multimedia technologies and tools that make colour in our world happen today.

As one of the authors of the book Colour design: Theories and applications, I’m thrilled to be one of the speakers on the day. I will be talking about the importance of colour in interiors.

Interior designers influence millions of people’s lives every day in how they feel and how they perform. We are mostly urban dwellers, spending up to 80% of our lives inside man-made environments, whether that is at home, work, school, in our cars, buses, trains, gyms and theatres. Everything in these spaces has been designed and the colours selected for us. Interior designers and architects have an incredible social responsibility as they can often directly influence millions of people’s lives every single day by the colour choices they make. Get it wrong and it can have a huge impact on how we feel and how we perform.
